'These are the seeds that sing’*

Glass Gem Rainbow Corn

When Carl Barnes/White Eagle, Cherokee corn farmer with a degree in Agricultural Education, spent many years growing traditional corn crops, he found many ancestral types of corn returning to his fields.

Many of these had been presumed to be lost and when he brought them back to the elders of the Oklahoman tribes, this was a very powerful time, as he says the corn is ‘literally the same as their blood line, their language, and their sense of who they are.’

He began to understand the intrinsic spiritual and mystical relationship the People had with the Corn and the alchemy that occurs between the planter of the seed and the seed itself.

‘These are the seeds that sing’, says White Eagle/ Carl Barnes.*

And held living within these seeds are the Sacred Code of all existence.
